Baby blue kicks off the 2025 drum corps season with a series of local events and performances celebrating music, community, and the power of education.
ATLANTA, GA — Spirit of Atlanta Drum is excited to announce a series of upcoming performances and events that mark the official launch of its 2025 season. This summer, Spirit will bring the excitement of drum corps to the community through a combination of free concerts, a special Hall of Fame dinner, and the much-anticipated season preview show.
These events provide an opportunity for fans, families, and supporters to experience Spirit of Atlanta up close, celebrate the corps’ 2025 program “ROCKET,” and directly support the students who make it all possible.
“The start of a new season is always an incredible moment for our members,” said Jason Burns, Executive Director of Spirit of Atlanta. “the 2025 corps has been working hard since the winter to prepare for the upcoming season, and these local events give us a chance to share that work with the community that supports us. Whether you’re a long-time fan, an alum, or someone discovering drum corps for the first time, we invite you to come experience Spirit of Atlanta and be part of our story.”
Every summer, Spirit of Atlanta provides a life-changing educational and performance experience for over 150 young musicians, color guard performers, and educators. These events are more than performances—they’re a chance for the community to see the dedication, teamwork, and passion that go into creating a world-class drum corps.
Support from the community—through attendance, donations, and sponsorships—helps ensure that Spirit of Atlanta can continue its mission of educating, inspiring, and empowering the next generation of performers and leaders.

Spirit of Atlanta’s season officially opens with the Concert for the Community, featuring the premiere performance of Spirit’s 2025 production, “Rocket,”. This event allows the organization to connect with civic and community leaders and celebrate Spirit of Atlanta's nearly 50-year and commitment to serving the Atlanta community.

The 2025 Spirit Hall of Fame Dinner honors the individuals who have made a lasting impact on the corps’ history—alumni, educators, volunteers, and supporters who have helped shape the organization. The evening will include a dinner, recognition of the 2025 Hall of Fame inductees, and a celebration of the Spirit community’s legacy.

2025 Spirit of Atlanta Preview Show

Donation: $15 per person
The countdown to the 2025 season reaches zero as Spirit of Atlanta officially takes the field at Jacksonville State University for the official field debut of “Rocket”. This is an exciting opportunity for fans, families, and community to experience the culmination of months of hard work and preparation—and to support the students as they launch into the competitive season. Admission is a suggested $15 donation per person, with all proceeds directly supporting the members and the corps’ summer tour.
